Job Description Responsible for all plant HR functions, programs, and activities, including: time & attendance, employment policies, compensation & benefits, training, staffing and employee relations. The Human Resources Manager plans and carries out policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize and implement process for recruitment, selection and hiring both hourly and salaried personnel.
- Advise the Plant Manager on employee-related matters as they relate to the effective and efficient operations of the Plants.
- Drive Onboarding/Offboarding, and Retention and Attraction initiatives.
- Maintain harmonious relations between team members and plant management.
- Disseminate management’s position on appropriate matters to team members.
- Advise and apply plant handbook, company policies, government labor and employee laws such as LTF, IMSS, NOM035, etc.
- Establishes and coordinates continuing performance review procedures as appropriate, Continuous Improvement Discussion and Individual Development Form, Appraisal Surveys and Succession Planning.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of required plant, group, corporate, governmental and internal/external reports as required.
- Administer and facilitate Morale Survey and coordinate follow-up and closure on issues.
- Establish and maintain accurate personnel records which fulfill legal, corporate, and general business requirements.
- Administer hourly wage and salary administration.
- Oversee the records to track new hire hourly progression in the wage structure.
- Assist management in accurate lay-off procedure in the event of a shutdown.
- Assures an appropriate training plan is in place which identifies the needs of the Plant. Training programs should be designed to develop a high degree of competency, performance, and commitment at all employee levels.
