Estimator – Transportation Infrastructure (Remote) We are seeking an experiencedEstimatorto join a growing team focused on large-scale transportation infrastructure projects across the U. S. This is a fully remote opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in civil and electrical estimating within the public infrastructure sector. In this role, you will lead the estimating process for highway lighting, traffic signals, ITS, bridge electrical, and related transportation projects. You'll collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver competitive and accurate proposals for DOT and municipal projects.Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end estimating and bid preparation for transportation infrastructure projects Analyze DOT plans, specifications, addenda, and special provisions Prepare detailed labor, material, and equipment estimates Manage subcontractor and vendor solicitation processes Coordinate RFIs, bid clarifications, and scope reviews Develop proposals, qualifications, exclusions, and pricing recommendations Maintain bid and opportunity tracking within estimating and CRM platforms Support handoff to operations teams after project award Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous process improvementWhat We're Looking For ~6+ years of experience estimating transportation infrastructure projects ~ Strong knowledge of highway lighting, traffic signals, ITS, roadway or bridge electrical scopes ~ Experience working with DOT standards and public-sector bidding requirements ~ Proficiency with estimating software such as Conest Intellibid (or similar), Bluebeam, and Excel ~ Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, NEC, Davis-Bacon, DBE/MBE/WBE, and Buy America requirements ~ Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Experience with alternative delivery methods (Design-Build / CMGC) Certifications such as ASPE, AACE, or IMSA Exposure to ITS, fiber, CCTV, tolling, or ATMS projectsWhy Join Us?
