Maintenance and facilities manager (Revolucion)

Job Title: Maintenance And Facilities Manager Industry: Metal-Mechanical Manufacturing Reporting to: Plant Manager Job Summary The Maintenance And Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of all manufacturing equipment and the physical plant infrastructure. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, manages technical teams, and oversees facility safety and compliance within a metalworking environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Maintenance Management
· Develop and execute a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance program for all the fabrication machines and finishing equipment.
· Lead the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Manage the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) strategy to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
· Oversee the spare parts inventory (MRO) to minimize downtime while optimizing costs. 2. Facility And Utility Management
· Ensure the continuous operation of critical utilities: air compressors, cooling systems, HVAC systems, electrical substations, and wastewater treatment.
· Manage external contractors for facility upgrades, roofing, plumbing, and electrical installations.
· Oversee building security, fire suppression systems, and general site housekeeping. 3. Leadership And Team Development
· Lead, mentor, and train a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians.
· Coordinate shift schedules to ensure 24/7 maintenance coverage for production lines.
· Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and PPE protocols. 4. Financial And Strategic Planning
· Manage the annual maintenance budget (OPEX) and justify capital expenditures (CAPEX) for new machinery or facility upgrades.
· Analyze maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance cost per unit) to drive continuous improvement.
· Identify energy-saving opportunities and sustainability initiatives. Requirements And Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
· Experience: 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Strong understanding of blueprints, electrical schematics, and CAD drawings.
· Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high sense of urgency, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
· Certifications: (Preferred) Lean Six Sigma, CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), or OSHA safety certifications.
