Position Summary
The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing all materials planning, inventory control, logistics coordination, warehousing, and production scheduling activities to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This role ensures the timely availability of raw materials and components while optimizing inventory levels, supplier performance, and overall supply chain efficiency.
The idóneo candidate has strong experience in manufacturing environments within the automotive industry, specifically in metal-mechanical operations, with knowledge of ERP systems, inventory management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage materials planning, inventory control, logistics, warehousing, and production scheduling activities.
Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production operations.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to meet customer requirements and production demands.
Monitor inventory levels, material flow, and key supply chain KPIs.
Lead shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials and logistics processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Materials Management within automotive manufacturing companies focused on metal-mechanical processes.
Strong experience in inventory management, production planning, logistics, and warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Plex, QAD, Oracle, etc.).
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
English proficiency preferred.
