DevOps‑Focused Backend Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between core development and operational excellence, ensuring our Java‑based services are not only high‑performing but also seamlessly integrated into automated, scalable delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services primarily utilizing Java.
- CI/CD Optimization: Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, driving automation across build, test, and deployment phases.
- Workflow Automation: Architect and maintain automated workflows using GitHub Actions to streamline development cycles.
- Automation Scripting: Author and manage complex Bash scripts to support deployment orchestration and routine operational tasks.
- Release Management: Coordinate application releases, ensuring processes are reliable, repeatable, and documented.
- System Stability: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to improve system uptime and refine deployment methodologies.
- Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot production and deployment‑related issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills & Experience
- Java Expertise: Proven experience in backend development with a focus on Java.
- CI/CD Implementation: Practical experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- GitHub Actions: Direct experience implementing workflow automation via GitHub Actions.
- Advanced Scripting: Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system administration.
