As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages. Your Role and Responsibilities Within IBM Z, you'll play a pivotal role as mainframe system programmer, leading some of the following CI/CD activities in the z/OS platform:
- Provision and maintain z/OS environments (e.g. IPL, install SMP/E, APARs/PTFs)
- Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines where z/OS processes follow CI/CD practices, aiming to increase the software quality and delivery speed through highly automated processes
- Collaborate extensively with general teams gathering requirements and leading the engineering stages
- Estimate and plan requirements following Agile practices with stakeholders
- Modernize and optimize legacy process that leads to Infrastructure as a Service (Ansible automation, or similar) on top of hybrid cloud environments

- Exposure to z/OS: running, coding and monitoring JCLs, storage/data spaces management, RACF/security, network, ISPF, SMP/E, IPL among others
- Exposure to automation: Netview, System Automation
- Exposure to SYSPLEX concepts, configuration and management
- Exposure to installing software via SMP/E and/or APARs/PTFs
- Experience with any z/OS subsystems such as CICS, IMS, z/OS Connect, DB2, Java, ZOWE, zOSMF, etc.
- Exposure to problem determination that leads to follow RC/RS and problem resolution actions through zOS documentation
- Scripting/coding experience: JCL, REXX, Python, Ansible, Ant, Shell, etc.
- Exposure to CI/CD toolchains such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Tekton, Compliance, Security scans
- Foundational Linux system administration knowledge Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Back-end developer experience (e.g. Java backend, C/C++)
- Cloud CI/CD and toolchain experience
- Linux KVM concepts: virtual networking, copy-on-write filesystems (BTRFS, Stratis)
