Company / Business Overview General Energy Transmission (GET, ) developed and patented the distant in-flight wireless charging technology, which enables autonomous continuous drone parcel deliveries and many other drone-based services in the energy and utilities, construction, security, mapping and surveying, oil and gas, public safety, and agriculture sectors.GET was incorporated in the USA in April **** with HQ in Portland, OR.In March ****, GET opened a Mexican subsidiary, GLOENERMEX, to scale up its manufacturing and R& D operations.Due to the scaling of operations, GET would like to hire a highly qualified and experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen the engineering team.The Engineer will report to the CEO/CTO of GET and work closely with Mechanical Design Engineer.The Role Primary activities Develop and validate CNC programs tailored for company's CNC machinery.Conduct CNC manufacturing activity: lathe and milling machines working with materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium, and carbon fiber.Generate, verify and modify work instructions for 3 and 4 X machines.Plan and specify purchases of tooling and accessories necessary for manufacturing details per drawing and specification requirements.Take responsibility for the quality and performance of CNC manufacturing processes.Assess CNC production time based on models/drawing/specs provided. ·Ensure safety of operations/CNC manufacturing process.Schedule and manage service and maintenance activities for CNC machinery.Communicate with the supplier of CNC machinery in case of any issues/support required.Continuously optimize CNC machining processes to reduce cycle times, improve quality, and scale from prototyping to full production.Key areas of work and main projects Robotic equipment/mechanical parts Cases for electronics assembly Testing equipment and testing stands manufacturing for company products Manufacturing of tooling, fixtures, holders, and other specific parts per company needs.Production of details based on third-party requirements and requests.The Candidate Key Qualifications and Experience 3+ years overall experience in CNC manufacturing.Excellent knowledge, skills and abilities in CNC programming language using G code.Strong experience working with materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium, and carbon fiber.Deep knowledge and understanding of CNC capability, functionality, and limitations.Excellent knowledge of Master CAM or similar software for G code generation/processing.Knowledge in drawing interpretation, intermediate use of design software such as Solid Works.Solid experience setting up and operating 4-axis CNC milling centers, as well as CNC lathes equipped with Y-axis and C-axis (live tooling/spindle position control). Ability to quickly estimate complexity of the detail and its production time.Ability to identify and required additional fixture and tools for production based on precision tolerance for a given detail.English
- upper intermediate/advanced: you have the ability to conduct a technical conversation in English (Reading, Writing and Speaking). Will Be an Advantage: Experience working with various CNC controllers (brands).
