Role Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented MuleSoft API Tester with strong experience in API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation of MuleSoft-based applications. The idóneo candidate should have hands-on experience testing REST/SOAP APIs, validating MuleSoft flows, working with Anypoint Platform, and ensuring integration quality across enterprise systems. The role requires strong understanding of API lifecycle, data transformation, error handling, security testing, and backend system integration. The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, integration architects, and QA teams to validate MuleSoft APIs and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integrations. Key Responsibilities Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for MuleSoft APIs and integrations. Validate REST and SOAP APIs developed using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Review API specifications, RAML/OAS contracts, mapping documents, and integration requirements. Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data for MuleSoft integration flows. Validate request and response payloads in JSON, XML, and other formats. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, REST Assured, or similar tools. Validate MuleSoft flows including transformations, routing, orchestration, error handling, retries, and exception scenarios. Test integrations between MuleSoft and enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, databases, payment systems, cloud applications, and third-party APIs. Validate DataWeave transformations and ensure accurate field mapping between source and target systems. Perform negative testing, boundary testing, schema validation, and contract testing. Validate API security including OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, API keys, certificates, and access control policies. Support performance testing and load testing of APIs using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar tools. Analyze API logs, MuleSoft application logs, error messages, and transaction traces to identify defects. Work with developers to troubleshoot API failures, integration issues, data mismatches, and environment-related defects. Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, defect triage, and retrospectives. Support SIT, UAT, production validation, and release readiness activities. Ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality documentation are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills and Experience ~4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2+ years in API and integration testing. ~ Hands-on experience testing MuleSoft APIs and integrations. ~ Good understanding of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and Design Center. ~ Strong experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML, RAML, and OpenAPI specifications. ~ Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, REST Assured, or similar tools. ~ Strong knowledge of methods, status codes, headers, authentication, authorization, and API error handling. ~ Experience validating DataWeave transformations and source-to-target mappings. ~ Good understanding of integration patterns such as request-response, publish-subscribe, batch processing, synchronous and asynchronous integrations. ~ Experience in testing API security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, SSL/TLS, and certificates. ~ Ability to write SQL queries for backend data validation. ~ Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Xray, ALM, or Azure DevOps. ~ Good understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodology. ~ Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. ~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect exposure is a plus. Experience with automation testing using REST Assured, Java, Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience with version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience testing integrations with Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow, databases, or payment platforms. Exposure to API contract testing and service virtualization tools. Experience with performance testing of APIs using JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, CloudHub logs, or Anypoint Monitoring. Technical Skills API Testing: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, RAML, OpenAPI MuleSoft: Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, DataWeave validation Testing Tools: Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, REST Assured Automation: Java, REST Assured, Selenium or similar automation frameworks Database: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server Security: OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, Basic Auth, certificates, SSL/TLS Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Defect Management: JIRA, Zephyr, Xray, ALM Roles and Responsibilities in Project Delivery Understand business requirements and API specifications. Prepare test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases for MuleSoft integrations. Execute API testing across different environments such as DEV, QA, SIT, UAT, and Pre-Production. Validate integration flows from source system to target system. Perform backend database validation and reconciliation. Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work with development teams for resolution. Support regression testing and release certification. Provide QA status reports, test execution metrics, and defect summaries. Ensure API quality, reliability, security, and compliance with project standards. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
