NOC Transport Technician/Engineer (Ciudad de México)

We are seeking a highly skilled NOC Transport/DWDM Technician/Engineer who is passionate about optical transport technologies and thrives on solving complex telecom challenges. This role plays a vital part in diagnosing and resolving advanced network issues, optimizing DWDM performance, and maintaining operational excellence across our transport infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams, leveraging your deep expertise to enhance network health, while serving as a trusted subject matter expert for internal partners and customers. This is a fully remote position based anywhere in Mexico. Responsibilities Expert-Level Troubleshooting Lead the resolution of critical and complex network outages and impairments. Develop and implement advanced troubleshooting methodologies for recurring issues. Conduct forensic analysis of network events to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence. Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DWDM and optical transport equipment. (OTDR) Apply strong knowledge of optical transmission principles and network protocols during fault isolation and repair. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical guides and incident reports. Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing best practices in DWDM and NOC operations. Strategic Planning and Implementation Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement improvements to the network. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools for potential integration. Oversee deployment, testing, and validation of new optical transport systems and related infrastructure.
