About the Role

The Tactical Sourcing Specialist – Logistics is responsible for executing sourcing initiatives, rate analysis, and supplier performance management for transportation and warehousing services supporting a company within the Food & Beverage Ingredients industry, with a strong focus on Taste & Nutrition solutions distribution network focused in the United States.

This role combines strong analytic capability with hands‑on sourcing execution , ensuring competitive rates, accurate cost modeling, capacity continuity, and operational responsiveness in a fast‑paced industrial distribution environment.

The position works closely with US‑based strategic sourcing, logistics operations, finance, and distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute RFQs, spot bids, mini‑tenders, and rate events for: FTL and LTL transportation

Parcel and regional carriers

Intermodal (where applicable)

Ambient and overflow warehousing services

Support contract renewals and pricing updates in line with approved category strategies.

Assist in onboarding new carriers and warehouse providers.

Cleanse, transform, and structure large datasets to support sourcing decisions.

Build and conduct sourcing events (RFx) including e‑Auctions.
