Social Studies Teacher (Cuernavaca)

Marymount School is seeking a dedicated, creative, and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and related subjects, fostering critical thinking, civic engagement, and cultural awareness in students. Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the schools academic programs. Inspire student interest in history, culture, society, and civic responsibility. Implement innovative teaching strategies, including the use of educational technology. Participate in schoolwide academic and formative activities. Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to ensure students holistic development. Maintain effective communication with parents and school leadership. Requirements Bachelors degree in History, Social Studies, Education, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the middle and or high school level. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Proficiency in digital tools and educational platforms. Teamoriented, versátil, and committed to continuous professional growth. It is essential to be proficient in the English language. Preferred Qualifications Graduate studies or specialization in relevant areas. Experience with active learning methodologies e.g., ProjectBased Learning, Cooperative Learning. Terms of Employment Full time position Benefits greater than those offered by law.
