Overview Reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating underground development activities. The role ensures that operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the technical, contractual, and quality standards established by the client and Cementation. Job Details Job Title: Supervisor OperacionesDepartment: OperacionesReports to: Capitán de Mina Responsibilities Supervise daily underground operations related to lateral development and ramp deepening. Coordinate drilling, blasting, retreating, reinforcement, and installation of services. Ensure compliance with progress, production targets, and project milestones. Control excavation quality (profile, overexcavation, alignments) and correct installation of ground support. Ensure proper installation and maintenance of services (ventilation, pumping, water, air, electrical systems). Coordinate with engineering, planning, and client supervision areas for project requirement fulfillment. Identify operational deviations and propose corrective actions. Prepare and submit shift reports (production, safety, equipment, incidents). Optimize resource usage: personnel, equipment, and materials. Control consumption of critical supplies (explosives, anchors, mesh, steel, fuel). Coordinate maintenance requests with mechanical and electrical units. Support continuous improvement initiatives and productivity gains. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. Health & Safety Comply with all Cementation Occupational Health and Safety standards and Mexican regulations (NOM-STPS). Lead safety briefings at shift start and risk analysis (AST/IPERC). Inspect workfront conditions: geomechanical stability, ventilation, equipment. Ensure compliance with critical procedures: work at height, confined spaces, lifting. Stop work under unsafe conditions and report promptly. Promote a solid safety culture within the team. Maintain order and cleanliness in underground work areas. Qualifications Engineering in Mining, Civil Engineering, or related field (desired). 5 to 8 years of underground mining experience. Proven experience in underground development. Experience with contracting companies (highly valued). Experience in development projects (drilling and blasting). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Certifications & Licenses Mining safety certifications (desired). Underground or construction certifications (desired). Valid driver's license. Skills, Knowledge & Competencies Leadership in high-risk environments. Technical knowledge of underground excavation works. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Quick operational problem-solving skills. Effective communication with teams and clients. Strong commitment to safety and operational discipline; KPI compliance. Interpretation of plans and technical specifications. Organizational, planning, and detail-oriented skills. Operating standard vehicles.
