Sr Accountant - (US audit experience) Hybrid Guadalajara MX

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team through MezTal , supporting a U.S.-based client in the senior living and healthcare industry.

The adecuado candidate will bring strong experience in U.S. GAAP, full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment. Experience supporting audits, preparing audit documentation, or working with internal controls is highly valued for this role.

Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and month-end close processes. Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support multi-entity accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information. Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, schedules, reconciliations, and responding to audit requests. Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives. Assist with ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as needed. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a combination of both. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals. Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. Experience supporting audits, preparing audit documentation, or working closely with auditors is strongly preferred. Strong reconciliation and analytical skills. Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Advanced English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or multi-entity environments. Background in public accounting or audit. Exposure to internal controls, compliance processes, or financial audits. Experience working with U.S.-based companies or accounting operations.
