Plastic Molding Manufacturing Sr. Engineer To design, develop and implement manufacturing processes considering tools, equipment, layout, facilities and systems to create safe and quality product with a competitive cost and optimum performance. Creates and documents process standards and work instructions, focused mainly on New Products, New processes and Productivity. Analyzes data from manufacturing processes related to time studies, layouts, process performance, CPK, critical dimensions, etc. and continuously improves process performance in safety, quality, cost, etc. Develops and implements strategic vision to area of expertise. Assist problem solving activities related to major downtime, quality or safety issues by analyzing BOMs, interpreting drawings, engineering specifications and can consult SAP transactions to support production in engineering related problems Coordinate and implement activities or NPD projects with minimal supervision of a senior engineer or supervisor (Engineer maintain work instructions and ISO **** and Chamberlain Manufacturing System documentation Create temporary process deviations documentation (PCOs) for process and material changes when required and implements ECN activities regarding manufacturing processes Participate in Problems Solving for systemic improvement activities and root cause analysis for Critical Quality issues Design, quote, purchase and implement fixtures, tools, workstation improvements, equipment, and processes, etc. to Support NPD, Productivity, new processes and continuous improvement Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and principles to different areas or plantwide projects to improve manufacturing, material flow and process overall performance Audit and maintain Industrial engineering process information like Time Study, Standard Work, Capacity, Line Balancing. Creates, updates and audits process layout when changes are being implemented Implement productivity projects related to labor, overhead and material through engineering tools, process automation opportunities, relay outs, capacity increases, engineering changes, etc.. Audit Operational Safety Risks, Job Safety Analysis (ASTs) and Safety Practices for the manufacturing processes and resolves major risk points to reduce operational risk; apply Ergonomic principles to process and validates layout and workstations to comply with ergonomic standards Manage and lead projects from start to finish understanding constraints and develop schedules to meet target implementation dates for projects assigned Develop Capacity Scenarios and Business cases for Capital investment; create and manage CPRs to achieved committed goal and budget Develop a strategic plan for assigned area of responsibility to achieve best in class standards and prepares for future demands, technologies, trends and contingencies Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronic or Mechanic Engineering (min) Scientific Molding certification required Experience: 8+ years of experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced knowledge in Scientific Molding, Mold Flow analysis, Machine and Tools characteristics, Resin types and characteristics. Advanced knowledge of plastic mold design and injection equipment. Advanced knowledge of tonnage calculation and decoupled molding. Also, reverse engineering sills for new products quoting. Advanced knowledge of Project management, Lean manufacturing, line Balancing and time study calculations, labor cost calculation, Material flow and workstation design. Extensive experience in Project implementation, ample experience with problem solving techniques. Proven track of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), PMAPs, VA/VE and productivity generation tools,Change management (CNs), BOM structure, PPAP process, Core APQP Tools, Digital Factory. Ample experience in new product implementation, Expert in mistake-proofing techniques Basic Packaging and labeling processes experience, Manual and automatic assembly, Software Microsoft Project, office, Minitab, AutoCAD, expert in Solidworks, SAP, PLMs (Windchill preferred) Advanced English proficiency Postúlate en Kit Empleo: kitempleo.com.mx/empleo/5uv2a0
