Líder de Contabilidad ZL5 in GAC Mexicali Unique Skills: Previous experience leading teams (preferred) ERP systems Fully bilingual (able to communicate fluently in English) Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree Public Accountant required. 5 years Maquiladora. Position Purpose: This position will lead part of the Mexicali accounting team that may include any of the following groups: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Tax and/or Treasury functions. The accounting lead will report directly to the accounting manager. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
- ASSIGN DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY TASKS TO THE TEAM, ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES BY POSITION .
- REVIEW PREPAYROLL, PAYROLL AND EMPLOYEE PAYMENTS EVERY WEEK .
- REVIEW WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLES, CONFIRMING THE ACCURACY INTERNAL CONTROLS .
- REVIEW AND APPROVE JOURNAL ENTRIES AND RECONCILIATIONS .
- REVIEW THE TAXES PAYMENTS .
- Correct issues identified in various account reconciliations. Additional Functions:
- Assist in Accounting Continuous Improvement efforts, analyzing VAT Devolutions and ensuring Internal Controls are being followed. .
- Provide training to accounting/finance team . Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
- ENGLISH 90%, KNOWLEDGE OF SAP AND TRESS, TAX KNOWLEDGE, TEAMWORK LEADERSHIP, Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required, principally Excel.
