Description Establish the manufacturing processes, following the specifications established by the Company, verbally and graphically documenting the process to ensure correct manufacturing of the product. Ensure that the company's machinery and equipment remain in optimal operating conditions through the administration, control and application of preventive and corrective maintenance programs appropriate to achieve the above, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defining the maintenance plan for each of the equipment and tools that are in his charge. Key Responsibilities
- Definition of Processes and preventive and corrective maintenance methods for progressive carbide dies.
- Definition of preventive maintenance of the machinery and/or equipment assigned to your department.
- Definition of the inventory levels of spare parts for dies and consumables of the machinery used for the maintenance of the dies, in the Tool Crib.
- Selection of equipment used in the process, suppliers for the acquisition of process equipment.
- Selection of suppliers for the manufacture of steel and carbide spare parts for carbide progressive dies.
- Definition of the safety characteristics required by the process.
- Creation and modification of work instructions, check-lists for preventive and corrective maintenance of progressive carbide dies.
- Acceptance of Compliant and Non-Compliant products.
- Definition of gags and measuring equipment required in the process.
- Preparation, updating and dissemination of the Work Instructions.
- Implementation through training of the Work Instructions.
- Design the preventive maintenance system of the production equipment.
- Preparation, updating and dissemination of preventive and corrective maintenance check-lists for progressive carbide dies.
- Implementation through training of preventive and corrective maintenance check-lists for progressive carbide dies.
- Optimal management of manufacturing equipment towards the plant operation process.
- Coordinate the acquisition and installation of manufacturing equipment and/or necessary services.
- Show commitment, directing and supporting the people in their charge to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Promote and communicate the results and/or effectiveness of their processes, as well as the actions and/or reaction plan when they apply.
- Responsible for Continuous Improvement in the assigned processes.
- Comply with the quality objectives of the position and the company's strategic objectives.
- Comply with the guidelines of the Quality System.
- You must keep the company's own tools and equipment in good repair, clean and safe to work with.
- Carry out their work with quality, complying with the required standards
- Participate in the company's Continuous Improvement projects that are required.
- Follow up on the corrective actions of the Quality System as appropriate
- Fulfill the pertinent roles that management assigns in the way it applies. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year in project management. Minimum 2 years of experience working with mechanical presses of more than 80 tons Minimum 2 years working with progressive or transfer dies.
- SKILLS: Teamwork, verbal and written communication, leadership.
- INITIAL TRAINING: Lean Manufacturing, Intranet Technical Information, Product Manufacturing Processes, Autocad, Use and Management of JDEdwards, Use and Management of MP8 for Systems and Maintenance.
