Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Strategic Buyer – Battery Machinery & Tooling Installation (CAPEX) to strategically manage the procurement of machinery and tool installation services. This critical role will play a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high‑quality equipment and services, directly impacting our operational efficiency and bottom line. The idóneo candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a proven track record of cost savings, and a passion for optimizing procurement processes. Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & CAPEX Management: Develop category strategies for machinery and tooling. Lead the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to ensure long‑term value beyond the initial purchase price. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of machinery and tool installation. Contractual Engineering: Draft and negotiate complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOW). Focus on penalty clauses for delays, warranty terms, and Performance Bonds. Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as the bridge between Engineering (technical specs), Finance (budget control), and Legal (risk mitigation). Project Procurement: Manage the procurement timeline to align with factory shut‑downs or installation windows, ensuring zero impact on production continuity. Supplier Performance & Risk: Audit and qualify specialized contractors to meet rigorous safety (EHS) and quality standards. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing, terms, and conditions while mitigating risk. Draft and review contracts, manage service level agreements, and resolve disputes.
