Senior Snowflake ETL Developer Virtualent About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Snowflake ETL Developer to join our team! If you’re passionate about data, have 7+ years of experience working with ETL/ELT tools, and thrive in dynamic environments — we want to hear from you. You’ll be a key player in developing, consulting, implementing, and supporting ETL initiatives with technologies like Snaplogic, Snowflake, and DataStage , all while helping shape robust data warehousing solutions. What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and monitor ETL processes using Snaplogic, Snowflake, and DataStage
- Gather and analyze business requirements, define architecture, and design robust solutions
- Work hands‑on with SQL/PLSQL, SnowSQL , and DataStage (v11.3 preferred) in a UNIX environment
- Build data warehousing and data mart solutions to meet business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile tools like JIRA
- Use Python/UNIX scripting for ETL automation
- Manage scheduling tools such as Tidal or ActiveBatch
- Work with version control tools like GitHub
- Troubleshoot, problem‑solve, and proactively improve existing systems
- Handle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in ETL/ELT development and data integration
- Expertise in Snowflake, DataStage, Datastage (11.3), Snaplogic, AWS
- Strong SQL/PLSQL, SnowSQL skills
- Hands‑on experience in UNIX scripting and automation
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud migration projects
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with GitHub , scheduling tools (Tidal/Active Batch) , and JIRA
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment Nice to Have:
- Cloud migration & reverse engineering experience
- Experience defining and implementing error and exception handling strategies
