Industrial Engineer III This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Engineering group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Analyze, define and update all the process related to material flow, in accordance with the company's procedures, policies and standards; identify and implement lean material flow tool implementations, and (ii) Oversee and maintain visual aids, Kanban implementation and calculation and workstations related to material flow; ensure optimal delivery method process to the production lines, ensuring parts are on time in the correct container & correct quantity. Requires 5+ years relevant work experience; prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Flow and Logistics (related to materials handling) and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial, or Logistical or other related Engineering field. Able to manage complexes tasks or projects related with line balancing, material flow, parts presentation, standard work, time and motions analysis, PFEP, capacity analysis, manufacturing line layout and manning calculation. Proven knowledge and experience to execute multiple tasks or projects. The candidate must have leadership skills to guide or deserve as resource across the plant to accomplish the company's goals.
Lead and enforce the safety rules, apply the prior knowledge and experience to participate and contribute in the EHS or Ergonomics initiatives, deserve as a lead to the co-workers to maintain a safety workplace. In a monthly basis must analyze, calculate, and define line capacity in term of headcount, materials handlers, delivery routes, kanban and equipment needed to achieve the planning demand, it is expected that based on the prior experience must be able to provide proposals to optimize the resources as needed and lead or mentoring those projects. Take care of documents like PFEP, line layout, ASTs, Ergonomic studies, standard work, RBTs, kanban signals must be updated and improved based on prior experience to optimize the processes. Must have a plan to periodically revise the records of master data, storage location address, supply areas looking for trend and take actions if it is needed, as well the CG's platforms (SAP, JIRA, Velocity, Scorecard, etc.) must keep accurate as much for the legacy products and new lunches. Utilize the prior experience to make recommendations for the EHS, OpEx and NPI initiatives, as well attend the Production MDI and be a model lead providing analysis and solution for problems identified, must manage or mentoring complex projects, and implement changes based on analysis or best practices. Lead and coach complex productivity projects across the plant or company with the co-workers or another department team members, always looking to achieve the company goals. Any risk on the productivity projects must be escalated to the Productivity Committee to take actions and get back the project on track. Responsible to identify opportunities to improve the warehouses performance for material logistic internally or external and the resources needed to achieve it. Keep the visual factory standard, following the standards colors, materials, kind of structures, workstations and visual signs to ensure a homogeneous environment. Support technicians Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial, Systems or Logistical or other related Engineering field Experience: 5+ years as defined in the Essential Duties & Responsibilities; prior experience in Industrial Engineering, Materials Flow Engineer, Lean Engineer or Logistics Engineer (related to materials handling)
