Sr. Specialist, Human Resources Business Partner This position is responsible for the application of HR principles, practices, and tools that support the execution of business strategy and provide a positive work environment. HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc. This role is responsible for policy and procedure management, general customer service and wellness, development and human resource management, and process improvement support.
- Perform Human Resources responsibilities within the assigned client group, including, but not limited to, day-to-day employee relations, career path, employee engagement, employee development, and cultural change for his department area assigned
- Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives for hourly direct and indirect employees
- Work with internal clients and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies, such as retention and absenteeism initiatives, workforce management, and resource planning, by analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data
- Advise the area manager/supervisor on good human resources management and decision-making in accordance with legal guidelines and internal policies
- Manage disciplinary and dispute resolution processes in accordance with company policies and labor law. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and work-related issues, and proactively identify and address labor relations concerns
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensure that internal policies, procedures, and reporting comply with all applicable labor laws and regulations. Manage labor relations with the union
- Managing projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals. Analyze Human Resources data, design presentations to keep the client informed and monitor the effectiveness of the solutions offered
- Attend the daily meetings, present human resources metrics (absenteeism, turnover, discipline follow-up, wellness programs and all those applicable to People), actively participate and follow up on the agreed actions. Support and participation in the company's wellness events and recognition systems
- Work with synergy in collaboration between areas and departments for the same purpose
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Experience:
- 3+ years with experience in Human Resources, majority of which spent in HR roles Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge and handling of applicable rules, agreements, procedures, and laws
- Knowledge of the processes of attraction, retention, and development of personnel.
- Proactive and decisive attitude to labor disputes
