Software Architect Junior (San Juan del Río)

Location: Querétaro, QRO. ALTEN México, a leading engineering and technology consulting company, is seeking a Junior Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++) to join our innovative team. At ALTEN, we collaborate on diverse technological projects across industries such as automotive, energy, telecommunications, and more, delivering tailored solutions to our clients. Responsibilities Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software for various devices and systems. Develop and maintain embedded applications in C/C++ (requirements, coding, unit testing, SIL testing). Perform hardware-software integration using protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, GPIO). Conduct testing and configuration in Embedded Linux environments. Troubleshoot and diagnose embedded systems issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance. Document processes, perform code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement. Skills Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming. Basic understanding of Embedded Linux, firmware, and RTOS . Experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi). Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation. Knowledge of CAN bus and Vector Tools . Proficiency with Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools (ADO, Jenkins). Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Tools: Visual Studio, QT Creator, Matlab Simulink . Requirements ~ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields . ~0–2 years of experience in embedded software development (internships or academic projects are welcome). ~ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. ~ Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. ~ Good communication skills in English.
