About the Role Position: Sustainability Intern (full‑time) – 3‑month assignment Location: Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico This role sits at the heart of Convatec’s Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility team. The successful candidate will play a central part in delivering the Scrap Reduction to Landfill 2026 Programme, supporting circular‑economy principles, improving waste‑management performance, and accelerating progress toward corporate landfill‑reduction commitments.
- Work closely with the EHS Supervisor and Sustainability team to support the execution of the Scrap Reduction to Landfill 2026 Programme, including data collection, field observations, and documentation required for project milestones.
- Liaise with certified recycling partners and internal waste‑handling stakeholders to coordinate material traceability, validate documentation (weigh tickets, manifests), and identify opportunities to strengthen reuse and recycling practices across the site.
- Support day‑to‑day communication and engagement with operators, technicians, production leads, and cross‑functional teams, reinforcing proper waste‑segregation behaviors, visual standards, and compliance with environmental procedures.
- Prepare communication materials for key sustainability‑related initiatives (e.g., Waste Awareness Week, Circular Economy campaigns, World Environment Day). Evaluate and manage waste‑generation data and compile easy‑to‑read reports, charts, and dashboards for EHS leadership and other relevant stakeholders. Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to track and execute project priorities.
