Commodity Manager - Motors (Reynosa)

Job Summary As a Commodity Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement activities related to the sourcing of components such as machined parts, magnets, plastics, bearings, and similar. Location: SP, Brazil or Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico. Responsibilities Managing supply chains, sourcing, reviewing, and buying commodities Perform cost analysis using concepts of "Should Cost", "TCO", and other methods Evaluating and prospecting in the market supply base expansion Negotiating long‐term agreements to maximize sourcing potential Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and distributors Analyzing market trends and identifying risks Adhering to project‐approved budgets Resolving vendor conflicts and commodity‐related issues Working with NPD (new product development) team members to ensure fast and seamless introduction of new designs to full production Interfacing with Production, Planning, QA, Sales, and Engineering to achieve smooth flow of goods and services to maintain committed schedules for customers Supporting the NPD team with component costing throughout the life of the project Building a pipeline of cost reduction opportunities for parts used in production by conducting cross‐functional workshops and helping implement them within Nidec Aerospace Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field Demonstrated experience in sourcing goods and services in a Program Development and Manufacturing environment Strong experience negotiating long‐term supply agreements in Industrial or Aerospace markets Minimum of 8 years of procurement experience U.S. Visa and Passport required English proficiency Ability to work effectively in a large corporate matrix organization Leadership and collaboration with personnel from various departments Excellent communication skills; experience giving presentations to upper management Knowledge of financial markets that impact commodity prices Experience with commodity trading and risk‐management software Advanced analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP If you have it it's a plus: Experience with commodity trading and risk‐management software CPM, CPIM, or CPSM certifications MBA Equal Employment Opportunity and Affin... encouraging diversity ...
