Job SummaryAs a Commodity Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement activities related to the sourcing of components such as machined parts, magnets, plastics, bearings, and similar.Location: SP, Brazil or Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico.ResponsibilitiesManaging supply chains, sourcing, reviewing, and buying commoditiesPerform cost analysis using concepts of "Should Cost", "TCO", and other methodsEvaluating and prospecting in the market supply base expansionNegotiating long‐term agreements to maximize sourcing potentialBuilding and maintaining relationships with suppliers and distributorsAnalyzing market trends and identifying risksAdhering to project‐approved budgetsResolving vendor conflicts and commodity‐related issuesWorking with NPD (new product development) team members to ensure fast and seamless introduction of new designs to full productionInterfacing with Production, Planning, QA, Sales, and Engineering to achieve smooth flow of goods and services to maintain committed schedules for customersSupporting the NPD team with component costing throughout the life of the projectBuilding a pipeline of cost reduction opportunities for parts used in production by conducting cross‐functional workshops and helping implement them within Nidec AerospaceMinimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience in sourcing goods and services in a Program Development and Manufacturing environmentStrong experience negotiating long‐term supply agreements in Industrial or Aerospace marketsMinimum of 8 years of procurement experienceU.S. Visa and Passport requiredEnglish proficiencyAbility to work effectively in a large corporate matrix organizationLeadership and collaboration with personnel from various departmentsExcellent communication skills; experience giving presentations to upper managementKnowledge of financial markets that impact commodity pricesExperience with commodity trading and risk‐management softwareAdvanced analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and SAPIf you have it it's a plus:Experience with commodity trading and risk‐management softwareCPM, CPIM, or CPSM certificationsMBAEqual Employment Opportunity and Affin... encouraging diversity ...
