Job Summary The IT and IS Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing information technology and systems operations across multiple locations in Mexico. The role combines leadership, planning, and execution, with a primary focus on infrastructure stability, system reliability, operational support, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement. This role integrates leadership, execution, and hands‑on involvement, and is critical to keeping key systems running in demanding operational environments. The position requires anticipation, decision‑making, and a strong sense of urgency, as well as the ability to step in directly when operations require it. Over time, the role will take on greater responsibility in IT (Information Technology) and IS (Information Systems) strategy, serving as a key driver of ongoing modernization, scalability, and adoption of emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Lead IT operations in Mexico, ensuring availability and reliability of critical infrastructure and systems.
- Lead the immediate assessment and stabilization of the technology infrastructure.
- Manage and ensure proper operation of networks, connectivity, servers, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Oversee technical support and directly participate in resolving critical incidents when necessary.
- Ensure continuous operation of key production technologies, including printing, labeling, and warehouse systems.
- Anticipate operational and technological risks and act proactively to prevent disruptions.
- Lead system evaluation and modernization efforts, including implementation of new technologies, automation, and data‑driven solutions.
- Proactively monitor emerging technologies (including automation and AI‑enabled tools) and lead the evaluation, planning, and implementation of solutions aligned with business needs.
- Identify and anticipate gaps in infrastructure, systems, and processes, and plan and execute preventive improvements focused on scalability, security, and long‑term operational efficiency.
- Maintain a practical understanding of ERP systems, databases, and information systems in use, and support strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate systems and databases that have reached functional or scalability limits and identify modern, scalable solutions.
- Coordinate implementations and migrations.
- Coordinate technology projects with internal teams and external providers.
- Manage IT budgets, technology assets, and vendor relationships.
- Develop the IT team and ensure operational coverage aligned with business needs. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
- Experience leading or coordinating technical teams.
- Practical knowledge of databases and information systems.
- Experience in agriculture, food, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid passport and visa. Desired Profile
