Bilingual Wood Shop Supervisor (El Bajio, Tecate)

Manage and oversee daily activities of the wood shop, ensuring production schedules are met.

Supervise, train, and develop a team of ~50 furniture manufacturing employees. Foster a positive and safe work environment that encourages accountability, teamwork, and high performance. Production & Operations.

Ensure adherence to production plans, quality standards, and deadlines. Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements. Oversee machine operation, equipment maintenance, and tooling to minimize downtime. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure product specifications are met. Act as the main liaison between U.S.based management and the local production team. Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly production reports in English. Provide input on staffing needs, material requirements, and process optimization.

Experiência y requisitos

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in furniture manufacturing operations. Proven track record of supervising teams of 50+ employees in a wood shop or factory setting. Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, equipment, and processes. Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish proficiency preferred. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.. Ability to work cross-culturally and bridge communication between U.S. and Mexico-based teams.. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Background in ERP/MRP systems and production reporting software.
