About the Role We’re hiring an Email Marketing Specialist
- Klaviyo to own campaign execution, flow strategy, segmentation, QA, reporting, and optimization for e Commerce clients. This is not just an implementation role. We need someone who can think strategically, build correctly, catch issues before they become problems, and proactively recommend improvements when performance is off track. You’ll work closely with our growth strategists, creative team, copywriters, paid media team, and client success team to strengthen retention, improve lifecycle performance, and help clients generate more revenue from their owned channels. This role is best suited for someone who is highly technical inside Klaviyo, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple clients in a fast-moving agency environment. What You’ll Do Build and manage email marketing calendars for assigned e Commerce clients Plan campaign themes, promotional cadence, segmentation, and send strategy Build, QA, schedule, and deploy email campaigns in Klaviyo Build and optimize core lifecycle flows, including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, checkout abandonment, post-purchase, winback, replenishment, and sunset flows Manage segmentation logic, triggers, exclusions, delays, conditional splits, and flow criteria Monitor performance across email revenue, flow revenue, campaign revenue, RPR, CTR, CVR, list growth, unsubscribe rate, bounce rate, and deliverability signals Identify performance issues early and recommend improvements before month-end Own deliverability best practices, including engagement hygiene, suppression strategy, spam testing, and list health Coordinate with copywriters, designers, and strategists to ensure campaigns are accurate, on-brand, and aligned with client priorities QA links, UTMs, images, alt text, templates, subject lines, preview text, segments, flows, and send settings before launch Document campaign learnings, flow updates, tests, risks, and next steps Provide clear weekly performance notes in Click Up Contribute testing ideas across offers, messaging, segments, cadence, creative direction, and lifecycle strategy Stay current on Klaviyo updates, email/SMS best practices, deliverability trends, and e Commerce retention strategy What We’re Looking For 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, ideally for e Commerce / DTC brands Strong hands-on experience with Klaviyo campaigns and flows Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, retention, segmentation, deliverability, and e Commerce funnels Ability to build email calendars and think strategically, not just execute tasks Strong technical understanding of flows, triggers, exclusions, delays, conditional splits, and segmentation logic High attention to detail across links, UTMs, images, templates, send settings, and audience selection Strong QA discipline and ability to launch campaigns with minimal rework Ability to analyze performance and explain what changed, why it happened, and what should happen next Ability to manage multiple clients, calendars, deadlines, and priorities at once Experience with SMS strategy in Klaviyo or similar platforms is a plus Experience using Shopify, GA4, Triple Whale, Northbeam, Click Up, or similar tools is a plus Basic copy instincts are a plus
